Discovery of abolitionist’s letter condemning Zong massacre

A copy of a 232 year old letter written by British abolitionist Granville Sharp condemning the deliberate killing of 132 slaves on the ship Zong has been discovered. The only other extant copy being a draft, this is much closer to the original and captures the strength of Sharp’s feelings as he demanded murder charges be brought against the crew of the Zong.
